By Phil Scoble

Blue seal have built their reputation on these very special fan assisted ovens – here’s how to pick the right one for you…

What’s the Blue Seal Turbofan Range do?

The Blue Seal Turbofan range is perfect for any business that wants to bake, roast or stew food for selling. They are well built, hard wearing and very easy to use machines.

Who’s it for?

Anyone who wants to ensure high quality results without shelling out for a combi oven. These are good value machines that will benefit your business without question. We’ve seen them used by everyone from cornershop cafes to top Michelin chefs.

How does the Blue Seal Turbofan range perform?

The Blue Seals are available in the 20 and 30 series.

The 20 series is for smaller businesses, or those looking for the best value. They feature drop down doors and are simple to use.

The 30 series is heavier duty, with swing out doors.

Both series feature a multitude of versions – the 20 series comes in a few variations – 2 rack, 3 rack and 4 rack.

The 30 series comes in 3 rack only.

Both series have narrow and wide models – the wide are able to fit 460 x 66mm trays suitable for baking. Most of the models (apart from the E22 and E31D4) use bi-directional fans. These often change direction of their spin. This creates an even spread of heat within the cooking chamber.

Many models also have steam injection. This is important for baking and when cooking roasts. You can control this easily on the manual , digital and touchscreen models.

Both series also have manual, digital and touchscreen models. The manual models are very basic, but simple and easy to control – you have a temperature gauge and a timer. The digital models have an LED display for temperature and time. They can also create simple multi-step programmes for different foods.

The Touchscreen models are more sophisticated. They allow you to create your own programmes. The machines also have pre-installed programmes for different foods too.

All in all, the Turbofan range has something for everyone at a very good price. They are well made, easy to use and are very hard wearing – so you can buy with confidence.
